“Mephisto – Der Faust im Nacken” is a 3D animated film targeted towards a young audience, based on the world-renowned masterpiece “Faust” by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Community and the Film Foundation NRW. The shy Berni has a crush on the pretty Gretchen from the neighboring high-rise. However, she is successfully wooed by another guy. Soon, Berni realizes that the guy is none other than their elderly teacher, Dr. Faust, transformed into a youthful form by Mephisto – who has wagered with God for Faust’s soul.
